Respect Time

Respect Time

An ex (yes another one) once said to me two words that make up an excellent piece of advice.

RESPECT TIME.

We’re pretty good at wasting time. When I say wasting time, I don’t mean resting and relaxing. I mean taking far longer over things than we should. And the problem with this, is that it eats into that rest and relaxation time and makes it far less restful and relaxing.

The first month of Find Your Focus season is all about REST. I love talking about rest in December. The run up to Christmas is invariably not restful for most. It’s a heady mix of present buying, meal planning, parties and, especially for those in retail or hospitality, the busiest working month of the year (kudos to you all, I did my time in retail and I know it is manic!).

So I come at resting in December in three ways:

๐ŸŽ… Valuing and being aware of our time.

๐ŸŽ… Reducing choice.

๐ŸŽ… Learning to say no.

And this is obviously advice that comes in useful throughout the year. Find Your Focus is very much about simplifying our lives and clearing space so that wonderful new growth can come through in the spring.

Join me for the new season of The Satisfaction Revolution. Doors are open until next weekend and then close for three months.
